Ideology

Ideology-Ideology is the ideas, views or ethics behind a piece of media. The ideology of the piece of media is important because it dictates how the media is presented based on its politics and views.

For my prelim task, I must present a newsletter with an ideology in mind as the newsletter must reflect my ideology. Part of my ideology will be that Deyes is a modern school and that it utilises up to date tachnology and learning resources. To show this I will include images of students using this resources, such as the schools iPads. I can also show this by using modern looking text.

 Another part of my iodeology is that, academically the school caters to everyone, and pushes all students to reach there maximum, not just focusing on the best. I can show this through images by showing a teacher aidning a struggling student, which also show that the teahers are supportive and make the students their first priorty, which is another part of my ideology. Also, in all of my images, any students will be in proper uniform to showcase the schools puntuality.

I will also show the schools high standard of educational achievment showing the schools by showing the schools GCSE results and stats and figures about the schools educational achievment. However I will also make sure that this part of the ideology dosen't clas with the 'taking all students into account' part of the ideologay.

Another key part of my ideology, that I want to present, is a sense of community within the school by showing sixth formers and lower down students in the school co-operating

Finally I will showcase the schools attention to its specialist subject, science, by showing images of students performing a science experiment. This can also show the schools health and safety principles, as the students could be wearing the science lab equipment such as safety goggles and lab coats.
